Megan Fox Bio
Megan Fox was born on May 16, 1986 in Rockwood Tennessee. Franklin Foxx, her father, removed the second x from his surname around the time of her birth.
Unfortunately, he left them when Megan was very small. Her mother, Darlene Tonachio, was a former tour guide. Megan only has one sibling her sister Kristy.
With a background of French, Irish and Cherokee, no wonder she’s got those fine looks. Her mother struggled raising them up as a single mom.
Although they grew up poor, as a good loving mom , Darlene Tonachio managed to find free dancing and acting classes for her little girl. She first started to dance and act when she was only 5 years old.
Megan always knew since she was 5 that she wanted to be an actress. Her first inspiration from childhood was Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz. As a child
Megan made believe she was Dorothy, even wore Dorothy’s costume that her mother had sewn her, for a whole year. She was devoted to dancing and acting until she finished high school in Florida.
When she was 13, megan fox won several modeling awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
She then made her debut in the movie “Holiday in the Sun” with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She played the role of Brianna Wallace, a spoiled heiress.
In 2002 she landed roles in “Oceans Ave” and “What I like about you” in 2003.
In 2004 she played the role of Carla Santini, opposite to actress Lindsay Lohan, in the movie “Confessions of a Drama Queen”.
Another movie she was in that year was “Crimes of Fashion”. In 2004, Megan also did guest star on the TV comedy, “Two and a Half Men”.
After that she played a few roles in other TV shows including, “The Help” and “Cassandra’s Ridgeway”.
From 2004-2006 Megan Fox played the role of ‘Sydney Shanowski’ in the comedy “Hope and Faith”.
For her outstanding performance in “Hope and Faith” Megan won the ‘Young Artist Award Nomination – Best Performance in a TV Series [Comedy or Drama] – Supporting Young Actress.
Megan Fox’s big break was in 2007 when she landed the role as Mikaela Banes in the action film “Transformers”. For this role Megan was nominated for many awards.
In 2008, Megan Fox appeared in the movie “How to make Friends and Alienate People”. mFox is currently filming two more movies for 2009, “Jennifer’s Body” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”.
Megan was offered the part for Lara Croft in the next Tomb Raider but she turned it down. She had enough of being compared to the famous Angelina Jolie, who played Lara Croft in the first Tomb Raider.
Because of her astonishing resemblance to Angelina Jolie and her tattoos, rumors were had it that megan fox was trying to imitate Angelina Jolie. They say that she is the newer, younger better improved Angelina Jolie.
Megan Fox has signed contracts for roles in the upcoming comic book movies “Jonah Hex” and “Fathom”. Rumors are also saying she will be the next “She-Hulk”.
In 2008, 10 million FHM magazine readers voted her the ‘Sexiest Woman in the World. Megan Fox can also be found in other magazines like GQ, Maxim, and Arena.
Megan Fox is stirring up the internet with her famous tattoos. Although some people have negative opinions about them, that doesn’t phase her. Megan is proud of her tattoos. She has a total of seven on her body.
Being at the rise of her stardom Megan Fox had recently ended her four year relationship with fiancé Brian Austin Green.
She claimed that she wasn’t ready to be committed and she wants to pursue her dream. Her love for acting overpowers any other affair. Getting over Brian wasn’t as easy as she thought it would be so they got back together and are currently looking for a house with ocean views in Santa Monica.
